For Women’s History Month, we recognize Martha Bernal, a trailblazer who helped expand cultural understanding in the field of psychology. As the first Latina to earn a Ph.D. in psychology in the United States, she broke barriers and paved the way for greater representation in mental health research and care.

Did you know that Prairie View has its own adorable blonde squirrel?

In the cases of Blonde Squirrels, a melanism mutation causes the melanin to stick to certain parts of their fur, unlike in regular squirrels where the melanin pigment spreads evenly through their fur making it darker.

Your mental and physical health are more connected than you might think. Stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges can affect sleep, energy levels, heart health, and even the immune system. In the same way, physical health can influence mood, focus, and overall well-being.

Taking care of your mental health is an important part of caring for your whole self. When we support both mind and body, we create a stronger foundation for long-term health and wellness
