This week, we had a patient come in for treatment who was very anxious. Her parents brought her to us for a second opinion after her current dentist wanted to refer her for treatment at the children’s hospital.
This patient didn’t even want to come into the office at first, let alone into a room for treatment. Over the course of her appointment, Dr. Beheshti was able to make her feel comfortable and at ease to the point where she could do the treatment.

One technique that Dr. Beheshti used to make a particularly anxious patient feel more comfortable this week was by “playing dentist.” While explaining what to expect during the procedure, Dr. Beheshti allowed the patient to use her tools on a stuffed dinosaur.
This turned a visit from anxiety-inducing to fun, just through play! Dr. Beheshti is happy to go above and beyond to make sure all of our patients have the best experience possible! 🦷🐝💛

This week, we had a patient come in for treatment who was very anxious. Her parents brought her to us for a second opinion after her current dentist wanted to refer her for treatment at the children’s hospital.

No April Fools here! 100% juice and cow’s milk before age 1 is not recommended, as it significantly increases the risk of iron-deficiency anemia. Cow’s milk is low in iron and can cause occult intestinal blood loss, while early juice consumption contributes to excessive calorie intake. Pediatric guidelines advise waiting until 12 months for cow’s milk and limiting juice. 💛🐝🦷
