For more than 35 years P.I. and the First Christian Church in Newton, have continued a heartwarming tradition of Pie Day. Each year volunteers serve pumpkin pie to connect with individuals we support. This tradition began as an act of friendship, inclusion, and opportunity to welcome people with disabilities into their lives and community. We are grateful to our volunteers from the First Christian Church in Newton, for their continued commitment, kindness and the lasting relationships they’ve helped nurture over more than three decades. “The heart of a volunteer is never measured in size, but by the depth of the commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.” -DeAnn Hollis.

Throwback Thursday present a step in time. Quote from the 1979 Annual Report, "At the end of July, 1979, ten clients in the new sheltered work division were evaluated and ready to start work." Jump forward to 2025 P.I. provides Supported Employment services to close to 100 individuals. Supported Employment offering person-centered career planning, career exploration and job coaching to assist individuals in preparing for, obtaining and maintaining employment. P.I. can help you explore and develop a plan to transition to work and maintain successful employment.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) encourages businesses and organizations across the country to participate.
Held annually, NDEAM raises awareness about disability employment topics and celebrates the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. Although national in scope, NDEAM’s true spirit lies in the many observances held at the grassroots level. Employers of all sizes and in all industries can take part.

Big news Newton Cardinals! Newton has advanced to the top 25 of the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights competition. We have already locked in a $25,000 grant towards improvements within our school.

We are currently going head-to-head for the ultimate prize - a $1 million dollar football stadium upgrade, and we need your help. This competition comes down to votes!
