NEXT FRIDAY! Register now!

In this training, Dr. Zucker will explore the core features of ARFID, the importance and challenges of early detection in young children, and key treatment considerations based on presenting concerns like disgust, anhedonia, and fear. She’ll also share findings from a recent clinical trial comparing two different approaches to ARFID treatment.

This is a unique opportunity for clinicians and professionals to deepen their understanding of ARFID and gain insight into evidence-based strategies for compassionate, effective care.

Join us on Friday, February 13th at 12 p.m. ET for a session with The Renfrew Center: “From Burnout to Balance: Compassionate Self-Care Strategies While Treating High-Acuity Eating Disorders.”

In a field where burnout is real and compassion fatigue is common, this event offers clinicians a much-needed space to reflect, reconnect, and renew. Through the lens of creative arts therapy, you’ll explore ways to stay grounded, nurture your own well-being, and sustain your practice with resilience and heart.

Bring your art materials and an open mind - creative expression is encouraged! Suggested materials include paper and a pen or pencil, along with any other art supplies participants would like to bring.

Led by Laura Rickles, LCAT, ATR-BC, this experiential session will help you:
• Assess and maintain your window of tolerance
• Cultivate self-compassion through the arts
• Reclaim balance in your work and within yourself

As we reflect on MEDA’s Annual Appeal, we want to say thank you to every person who gave, shared, and stood with us. Your support is more than a donation. It’s a reflection of your compassion, your belief in early intervention, and your commitment to equitable, informed care for people affected by eating disorders. Because of you, individuals and families seeking help are met with dignity, empathy, and hope at some of their most vulnerable moments.

Your generosity helps build a community where stigma is challenged, professionals are better prepared, and recovery feels possible. We are deeply grateful for the role you play in making that community a reality.

Thank you for believing, as we do, that Every Body deserves compassion, understanding, and the chance to heal.

If you have not had a chance to donate to support healing, it is not too late!

Eating disorders aren’t a personal failure. They’re often survival strategies formed in impossible circumstances. Two things can be true: a coping mechanism can save your life - and still need to change. This blog makes the case for moving from judgment to understanding. Bri Murray, and Sandi James, CEDC, PhD Candidate explain why we need to rethink the language we use when we label an individual's experience.

We are honored to cheer on Cindy Xue as she runs the 2026 Boston Marathon in support of MEDA and eating disorder recovery!

Cindy is fundraising to ensure that every body has access to the care, resources, and community they deserve. Her dedication to youth mentorship and advocacy aligns beautifully with MEDA’s mission of compassion, education, and healing.

Even more special: Cindy is running alongside her daughter to mark the 10-year anniversary of her daughter’s first marathon. Together, they’re running for hope, recovery, and a future where no one has to struggle alone.

Every step Cindy takes brings us closer to accessible treatment and lasting recovery. Support her run and make a difference: https://wl.donorperfect.net/weblink/WebLink.aspx?name=E334883&id=128
