Head on down to the Veterans Resource Center in Van Meter right after our 8 a.m. Veterans Day Ceremony at Iowa Veterans Cemetery to fuel up with a free breakfast before you go hit all the other Veterans Day events!

Throwback to July 28, 2025 — a very big (and very heavy) stone reset.

This one took four guys, a ramp, and a lot of grit. We added a new footing, raised, leveled, and reset the monument, all without truck access due to soggy ground.

We think Colton’s smile says it all… job well done. And done in a high heat index, no less. 💪☀️

The Presentation of Colors: Patriot Guard Riders of Iowa
Invocation, Benediction: Chaplain Colonel Dean Bear
Rifle Salute: VFW Post #8879
All guests will enjoy music performed by the Valley High School Singers.
Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
