Everything we think, do and feel occur across a circuit in the brain. These brain circuits are called, "neural networks." When one of these neural networks get stuck, we have a problem. Think of depression as a stuck neural network.

(Stable and reliable social connections are necessary for resilience. Having few friends may be a sign of either a less resilient “Weakened” or a “Rigid” Identity. Having even one good friend helps your teen grow to have a resilient “Compassionate Identity.”)
