Chandler Hall is a non-profit Quaker-based continuing care senior living community in Newtown, PA, dedicated to helping our residents and their families navigate the Journey of Aging. Since 1973, Chandler Hall has provided high-quality care for older adults in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Founded as a 55-bed nursing home, Chandler Hall now offers a broad spectrum of services for individuals at all stages of the aging process. Find these care levels at Chandler Hall: Independent Living, Personal Care, Memory Support, Respite Care, Long-Term Skilled Nursing and short-term Term Rehabilitation, Hospice Services, and community-based Palliative Care – we will be your partner along the way. Our beautiful 13-acre campus accommodates 173 long-term residents. Chandler Hall employs over 250 dedicated staff members, with the support of more than 50 regular volunteers. Additional volunteers from local schools, religious organizations, service groups, and corporations join in. Our Community-Based Hospice and Palliative Care Teams serve clients in Bucks County, parts of Montgomery County, and greater Northeastern Philadelphia.

Oh, what a Halloween celebration we had this week with multiple activities to fill our days. Halloween bingo, mummy wrapping, arts and crafts, and a Halloween-themed luncheon. Our friends from the YMCA did some trick-or-treating at our Independent Living community. It didn't even matter that it was cold and rainy outside. We were warm with laughter and smiles all around—we were making memories no matter the age.

The Chandler Hall community is in the Halloween spirit with this year's annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest, and the creativity this year is off the charts! From characters to food to animals, each pumpkin is showing the imagination and talent of our residents and team members. We are currently seeking Certified Medication Technicians/Care Partners for our Personal Care/Memory Care residents.

Now hiring for full-time, part-time, and per-diem! Shifts are 7 am-3 pm, 3 pm-11 pm, and 11 pm-7 am. Pay is based on experience. Experienced Med Techs can make over $20 per hour, including differentials.

Shift differentials:
Weekends: $2 extra!
Evenings: $1 extra!
Nights: $1 extra!

Requirements:
- Current DHS Medication Administration certification required.
- Current Diabetes Education (preferred)
- High school diploma or CNA certification or equivalent education required.

This position is responsible for administering prescribed medications in a timely and accurate manner and providing direct care as needed. Other responsibilities include taking vital signs, observing and reporting changes in resident health or medication reactions, accurately and timely documenting, and completing incident reports. The candidate will be expected to work independently and as a team member to ensure the overall well-being and safety of the residents. Every other weekend is required.

There are so many ways to celebrate Oktoberfest. Here, skilled care residents had fun with an Oktoberfest-themed bingo game filled with lederhosen, gingerbread, pretzels, sausages, and beer. There was a ton of laughter and fun. Then they all enjoyed cookies, pretzels, and apple cider for a treat.
