Happy Presidents' Day!
Earlier in the day, we kicked things off with Presidents Day trivia! Our residents tested their knowledge of American history, shared favorite presidential facts, and even surprised us with a few fun stories of their own.

This afternoon, we tried balloon burst on our interactive computer screens. Everyone tried to guess the word from the clues given before all of the balloons burst. In record time, we guessed almost every clue. At the heart of it all, it’s not just about the games — it’s about the joy of learning, reminiscing, and spending meaningful time together.

Our Personal Care community embraced the joy of Mardi Gras by creating beautiful sun catchers and dazzling masks in bright, vibrant hues. From shimmering purples and brilliant golds to lively greens, each piece reflected the season's energy and celebration. The sun catchers are now glowing in the windows, casting colorful reflections that brighten our day, while the handcrafted masks showcase each resident's unique creativity.

Our Valentine’s Day Luncheon was a beautiful celebration of love, laughter, and community here at Chandler Hall. Our dining room was filled with joy as residents gathered for a special Valentine’s Day luncheon prepared by our incredible culinary team. They truly outdid themselves with a spectacular meal and delicious homemade desserts that were almost too pretty to eat — almost! 🍰❤️ The afternoon was made even sweeter with live entertainment by the talented Maggie Griffin Smith, who filled the room with beloved love songs. Before long, everyone was tapping their feet, clapping along, and singing together. One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the reveal of our community banner, sharing all the things we love about Chandler Hall. From friendships and caring staff to activities and beautiful surroundings, the banner was a heartfelt reminder that love lives here every day.

Creativity was blooming in our community this week! 🌸

Our wonderful volunteers from the Martha Washington Garden Club stopped by to spend time with our residents, helping them create beautiful decoupage plates filled with color, personality, and plenty of smiles. They also took time to check in on the potted plants we planted together back in January — and we’re happy to report they’re growing just as beautifully as the friendships we’ve formed. 🌱💚 We are so grateful for community partners who bring their talents, kindness, and green thumbs to share with us. Thank you, Martha Washington Garden Club, for making our week brighter!

Nothing says love like something made from scratch

Today in our Personal Care community, the kitchen was filled with laughter and sweet aromas as our residents baked homemade heart-shaped cookies! From mixing and rolling the dough to carefully decorating each one with icing, everyone added their own loving touch.

Baking together isn’t just delicious — it’s meaningful. Activities like this spark happy memories and bring friends together around the table. And of course, taste-testing was the best part! 🍪💕

It’s the little moments (and the sweet treats) that make our community feel like home.

Things got saucy around here! Our employees turned up the heat in a wing-eating competition full of fun, laughter, and friendly rivalry. Our favorite maintenance worker, Milton, brought home the top prize. We’re so grateful for a team that works hard and knows how to have fun together! Thank you to Andy for being our emcee, to Chef Trudy for preparing the wings and refereeing, and to our residents who came to cheer on our contestants. That's what makes the spirit of Chandler Hall.
