If you’ve ever been up at 2AM wondering if you’re doing this right…
🎙️ New episode of The Running Wine Mom is live.

Sleep training has become one of the most misunderstood parts of motherhood.

Some people say it’s harmful. Some say it’s necessary.
And most moms are stuck somewhere in the middle… exhausted and second-guessing everything.

In this episode, we’re cutting through the noise—talking newborn sleep, toddler chaos, big kid struggles, and the truth behind the controversy.

Comment SLEEP and I’ll send the episode 😴

Follow for real conversations that make motherhood feel a little lighter—and a lot more clear.

I’m not raising a boy.
I’m raising someone’s future husband.

And that means…
how he treats people matters more than how the world treats him.

If I ever hear he made someone feel unsafe, small, or disrespected—
that’s on me too.

This is what we’re really doing as moms.

Follow for the kind of parenting we don’t talk about enough.

Most kids don’t feel seen.

And it doesn’t show up the way you think.

It looks like:
– attitude
– shutting down
– not talking
– pushing you away

So we correct it.
We try to fix it.

But what if behavior isn’t the problem?

What if it’s the message?

This changed everything for me:
👉 I see you
👉 I get you
👉 I got you

Simple.
But it builds the kind of connection you’ll need later—especially in the teen years.

👉 Save this for the hard days
👉 Share it with a mom who needs it
👉 Follow for parenting that actually helps

Most kids don’t feel seen.

And it shows up in ways we don’t expect:
– attitude
– shutting down
– not talking
– pushing us away

So we try to fix it.

Correct it.
Stop it.
Control it.

But what if that’s not the problem?

What if behavior is just the message?

This is the shift:
👉 I see you
👉 I get you
👉 I got you

Simple.
But it changes everything.

Try it today—especially in a hard moment.

👉 Save this so you remember what to say
👉 Share with a mom who needs this

Episode 140 with 🎙️
One minute they’re asking you to tie their shoes…
the next they’re taller than you and answering everything with “fine.”

And most parents think:
👉 “I’m losing them”

But what if that’s not true?

What if the teen years aren’t about losing connection…
they’re about learning a new way to show up?

This episode completely shifted how I see parenting teens:
– It’s not about control
– It’s about connection
– And influence doesn’t disappear… it just changes

The biggest takeaway:
Your teen still wants a relationship with you.
It just doesn’t look the way it used to.

If you’re in it (or heading into it)… this episode is for you.

Episode 140: This is the part of parenting no one prepares you for…

Your job isn’t to protect your kids forever.

It’s to slowly become less needed.

And that feels… terrible sometimes.

Because every instinct in you wants to:
keep them close
fix everything
make it easier

But real parenting?

Is teaching them how to handle life without you in the room.

How to think.
How to decide.
How to protect themselves.

That’s the goal.

Not control.
Not perfection.
Not dependence.

Independence.

If this hit a little… you’re doing it right.

Follow along if you’re trying to raise kids who can stand on their own—without losing your connection along the way.
