🫀Your heart does a lot more than beat.

In Ayurveda, the heart (Hridaya) is the seat of ojas (vital essence), emotions, and even consciousness. Yes, it pumps blood—but it also holds the rhythms of love, connection, and emotional balance.

When this center is depleted—physically or energetically—you might feel it as fatigue, anxiety, emotional weight, or a sense of disconnection.

Ayurveda doesn’t separate physical and emotional health—it treats the heart as a whole.

❤️ Nourishing foods

💨 Grounding breath

🕯️ Daily rituals of care

These aren’t luxuries—they’re essentials.

Let's talk about AI, folks. I use AI to help me with my marketing content all the time. But as a person with a Bachelor's degree in English, I should tell you that AI is not as intelligent as you think. Everything it spits out is "marketing speak". It uses sentence fragments prolifically. (Check and see how many statements it makes without a verb.) While this might work for a Facebook ad, it has no place in your business emails, professional blogs, or work presentations.

Worse yet, when you run this "writing" through AI-generated grammar checkers, they will tell you there are no errors. Meanwhile, it is rife with errors.

If you are a health and wellness PROFESSIONAL, you need to review everything ChatGPT gives you with a fine tooth comb. This will separate you from your colleagues. It will show that YOU actually know what you are talking about and that you didn't rely on ChatGPT to generate all of your content.

Your heart does more than keep you alive — it carries your emotions, your energy, and your sense of connection. 💗

In Ayurveda, heart health is supported through lifestyle, food, and yes—herbs. These five are traditionally used to nourish both the physical and emotional heart:

🌿 Arjuna – A classic Ayurvedic heart tonic that supports healthy circulation and cardiovascular strength.

🌿 Hawthorn – Used in both Eastern and Western herbalism to support blood flow and heart tone.

🌿 Rose – Cooling and calming, rose helps soothe the emotional heart and uplift the spirit.

🌿 Guduchi – A rejuvenating herb that supports vitality and helps reduce inflammation.

🌿 Ashwagandha – Helps the body adapt to stress and supports heart health by calming the nervous system.

⚠️ Note: Herbs are supportive tools—not substitutes for medical care. Always consult a qualified practitioner before using herbal supplements, especially for heart-related concerns.

Feeling emotionally closed off or heavy in the chest?

In yoga and Ayurveda, the heart chakra (Anahata) represents connection, compassion, and emotional clarity. When this space feels stuck, it can show up as tension, irritability, or just feeling disconnected.

These poses are designed to:
💚 Create space in the chest
💨 Regulate the nervous system through breath
🧘‍♀️ Support emotional release—gently, without forcing

It’s not about “fixing” yourself—it’s about opening to what’s already there.

👉 Save this Reel for your next practice or send it to someone who could use a little heart-softening.

Heart health isn’t just about cholesterol and cardio.
Emerging research in psychoneuroimmunology confirms what Ayurveda has long taught: your emotional and physiological states are deeply interconnected. The heart responds not only to physical inputs—like food and breath—but also to your environment, stress levels, and daily habits.
Here’s how each of these tools can support your heart on multiple levels:
💎 Crystals – While not scientifically “active,” tools like Rose Quartz or Green Aventurine can serve as intention-setting anchors—reminding you to slow down and check in.
💨 Breathwork – Techniques like gentle alternate nostril breathing or extended exhale breathing help regulate the autonomic nervous system and improve heart rate variability (a key marker of emotional resilience).
🍓 Foods – Leafy greens, berries, and warming spices like cinnamon and cardamom provide antioxidants and circulatory support—benefiting both the physical and emotional heart.
🎨 Colors – Exposure to calming colors (like green, soft pink, or earthy neutrals) can positively influence mood and support a parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state.
🤲 Ritual – Even a simple daily pause—hand to heart, 3 slow breaths, setting an intention—can shift your state, reduce stress, and strengthen emotional awareness.
Supporting your heart doesn’t require extremes—just small, thoughtful choices practiced consistently.

Feeling off—even though you're eating well, moving your body, and doing “all the right things”? 🤷‍♀️

You’re not broken. You’re just seasonal. 🌀

Ayurveda reminds us that how we digest is just as important as what we eat. And during cold, dark, stressy months (looking at you, winter ❄️), digestion naturally slows down.

That’s where a gentle seasonal cleanse can help—not to punish your body, but to pause and support it.

By syncing with the rhythms of the season, an Ayurvedic cleanse can help restore energy, smooth out digestion, and bring a little more clarity to that busy mind.
It’s not about willpower. It’s about wisdom.

👉 Swipe through to learn how it works, and see if a winter reset might feel right for you.

I AM SO STINKING EXCITED!!!!

I've been talking about leading a group cleanse forever, and so many of you have told me you're in...so I finally put it together, and friends, it is FREAKING AMAZING. Not to toot my own horn, but it is one of the most professional, robust, and supportive courses I've ever created and I can't wait to lead you through it!

Also… the deep winter freeze is finally ending. Temperatures will be positively tropical at 40 degrees this week!

Which means the heaviness can go too. Emotionally. Physically. Energetically.

And yes… maybe the cheese.
(If cheese was your coping mechanism this winter, you’re not alone. I see you. I was you. 🧀😂)

I’m opening a small founding group to run it with me first. We're starting next week. No procrastinating. Just dive right in. This is the perfect time! There’s a beta discount — use code BETARESET to save $30.

This initial group will be limited to 12 women and offered at a reduced rate in exchange for feedback and reflections.

The program is designed as a gentle reset to support digestion, energy, and sleep — without restriction or extremes.

If you’ve been feeling run down, ridiculously cold, or out of rhythm after the deep freeze, this may be a supportive place to begin.

✨ Your gut isn't just a digestion station—it’s your mood-maker, immune manager, and energy driver.

If you’ve been bloated, foggy, craving sugar like a goblin, or playing guessing games in the bathroom… your gut might be waving a little white flag. 👋💩

According to Ayurveda, Agni (your digestive fire) is the real MVP. When it’s strong, your body thrives. When it’s weak? Say hello to ama—that sluggish, toxic buildup nobody asked for.

That’s why cleansing the right way (read: not starving yourself or living on lemon water) can be a total game-changer. It’s about supporting your gut—not punishing it.

Want to reset before spring hits? Your gut will thank you. 🌿

Your digestion isn’t just about what you eat—it shapes how you feel, how you think, and how you heal. 🧠💫

Science now confirms what Ayurveda has taught for thousands of years: your gut and brain are in constant conversation. Your belly produces most of your serotonin (the “feel‑good” neurotransmitter), houses a massive immune presence, and communicates with your nervous system through the vagus nerve. When the gut is overwhelmed by stress, imbalance, or inflammation, it doesn’t just affect digestion—it impacts mood, energy, immunity, and clarity.

Ayurveda calls this digestive fire Agni. When Agni is strong, food, emotions, and experiences are processed smoothly. When it’s weak or disrupted, signals misfire—and your “gut feelings” may be trying to tell you something deeper.
True healing isn’t another diet trend— it’s about supporting your nervous system, your rhythm, your breath, your rest, and your microbiome so your body and mind can finally sync again.

My reading this week in yoga class:

Today (Monday, 10/20) marks the beginning of Diwali, the Festival of Lights — one of the most celebrated holidays in India and around the world. It’s a time that honors the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair.

Traditionally, families light small lamps to illuminate their homes — but the deeper meaning of Diwali is to light the lamp within. In Sanskrit, that inner light is called Jyoti (pronounced JOH-tee) — the eternal flame of awareness that lives in the heart.

As we practice today, let’s imagine polishing that inner light through breath, movement, and stillness — so it shines clearly even when the world outside feels dim.

Today, I invite you to set an intention to let your inner light guide your outer actions.

Happy Diwali!
