The PURPOSE of LIVING OAKS MINISTRIES - Isaiah 61 identifies part of JESUS’s assignment on earth, which he refers to, as he ministers in Nazareth (Luke 4). As Christians we are called to continue the work Jesus began. Our ministry is focused on restoring hearts through counseling, prayer ministry and by providing teachings that will call people higher, in order to remove what hinders healing, growth and fullness of life! 🪴

UPCOMING SEMINARS:
As a Counseling Minister, I am very aware of the abundance of codependent characteristics & learned coping mechanisms that keep many of us from walking in the fullness of life. It is a learned coping tool that is very common and impacts our relationships, identity, and calling.

In February I am offering two opportunities to learn about Codependency and how it may be operating in your life and relationships. I will discuss some of the foundational concepts, with the goal of increasing self awareness & understanding.

As someone who has personally been handicapped by my own codependence, I can speak to the reality of the struggles it creates. In addition, I can also promise you there is a road to stronger relationships, and a more confident identity!

If you can identify some of these common traits in yourself or those you love, you may benefit from this seminar.
Lacking confidence & positive self esteem
Difficulty setting appropriate boundaries
Difficulty identifying & expressing your own needs & wants
Anxiety when those around you are expressing strong feelings

Online Seminar will be held Thursday, February 19th, 6:00-8:00.

In this season, GOD IS CALLING US HIGHER INTO MATURITY. Because of our histories, the things that happened to us in our childhoods, or the things that should have happened but never did... there are places within our souls that can become "stuck" in old thinking and behavior patterns. It can be difficult to become our best selves & grow up into the mature individuals God wants us to be. We can help you remove the hindrances that keep you from growing up into the likeness of Christ.

The mother and father wounds describe emotional patterns that form through our early relationships with caregivers. The mother wound comes from the relationship with the mother or mother figure and reflects how emotional care, comfort, and closeness were experienced. The father wound comes from the relationship with the father or father figure and reflects how protection, guidance, and reliability were experienced. These patterns develop in childhood and often influence how we relate to others and ourselves later on. Most people carry aspects of both though one pattern usually becomes dominant under stress.
