Let’s understand the “why” behind what we do, and focus on the new upcoming TCCC updates on Pneumothorax available this week from JSOM. Don your thinking hats. 🎩

1.) How does a Tension Pneumothorax kill a patient?

2.) If an NCD is performed on a side with no tension pneumothorax, is a pneumothorax created?

3.) Why do we NOT put NCDs medial to the ni**le line? What happens if we hit those structures, such as a certain nerve that runs medial to the ni**les?

4.) According to new guidelines, what are some things can we consider if NCD is not working and why would we do that?
