We are proud to share that our founder, Richard J. Corman, has been posthumously inducted into the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s (ASLRRA) Short Line Railroad Industry Hall of Fame.

This honor celebrates short line railroad leaders whose dedication, innovation, and perseverance have advanced the industry. Rick’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence shaped R. J. Corman Railroad Group and left a lasting mark on the rail industry.

Rick’s vision and values continue to inspire us every day, and we are grateful to ASLRRA for celebrating his legacy with this recognition.

We’re proud to share that Tyler White, Vice President of Government Affairs at R. J. Corman Railroad Group, has been featured in the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s (ASLRRA) November newsletter as part of their “Veterans Turned Railroaders” article.

Tyler’s story reflects a commitment to service, both as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he held multiple leadership roles during combat deployments, and to his current work shaping infrastructure and transportation policy at R. J. Corman. His story demonstrates how veterans bring a strong sense of purpose, structure, and teamwork to the workplace, making a lasting impact wherever they serve.

It was our pleasure to welcome 45 students from Jessamine Career and Technology Center's (JCTC) Diesel Technology Program to our Nicholasville Shops yesterday! This group had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the complex, where they experienced real-world applications of the content they are learning in their classes.

Chris Newton, Diesel Technology Instructor at JCTC, shared that he hopes the visit will help his students recognize the importance of working together. “Every individual who works for R. J. Corman must rely on every other employee to make sure that the company thrives, so they all work really well together.” He explained, “I wanted them to be able to experience how the camaraderie between the departments makes the company successful.”

We’re proud to support the next generation of trade professionals at R. J. Corman, and we look forward to seeing the great things these students will accomplish in the future!

As part of “See Tracks? Think Train®” Week, R. J. Corman Railroad Police hosted Operation Clear Track on our Central Kentucky Lines in Lexington, KY.

This national initiative, led by Operation Lifesaver Inc., brings together law enforcement and first responders to educate the public on grade crossing laws and rail safety.

We were proud to partner with the Lexington Police Department and local transit agencies to raise awareness and distribute safety materials. Thank you to all who participated in making this event a success! Remember, See Tracks, Think Train.
