I’m honored and excited to share that I am now a National Certified Counselor (NCC)!

This credential represents a significant professional milestone and reflects a deep commitment to the counseling field. Earning the NCC required:

✔ Successful completion of a rigorous national examination assessing counseling knowledge and competencies

For my clients, this means you can trust that I am dedicated to maintaining the highest clinical standards, providing thoughtful, ethical, and evidence-based care. It also means I am committed to ongoing learning—continuously expanding my knowledge and skills to bring you the most current and effective therapeutic approaches.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to do this work and look forward to continuing to grow so I can best support each of you on your journey. 💙

When you stop talking, it’s time to find a safe person to vent to.

When you stop feeling, it’s time to find a safe place to endure the pain you’ve been denying.

When you stop caring, it’s time to find a safe environment to be cared for.

Naming emotions creates emotional distance to view them, not just feel them. Naming emotions allows us to tap into the thinking brain, which opens up new possibilities for moving through the emotion.

Keep going. Tomorrow needs you. 💜

Sometimes I notice myself doing this kind of behavior. I think it comes from a desire for truth being completely explicit and understood by all.

Regardless of its motivation, correcting others can feel hurtful to the recipient. Join me in committing to asking for wisdom for when to speak up for truth, and, when necessary, to do so with grace.

When we know better, we can do better.

Peace and blessings, friends.

When you’re constantly correcting others, it’s not always about them.
Sometimes, it’s a part of you trying to prevent chaos… fix discomfort… stay safe.

You don’t need to keep correcting everyone. You’re not responsible for making everything perfect.

That urge to fix, guide, or correct? It likely comes from an old part of you. the one that learned early on that being RIGHT meant being safe… or being valued.

You can let others handle it.
You’re allowed to let others find their own way.
You’re allowed to connect without controlling. It's okay. You are safe.

This isn’t about being controlling. It’s really about how your nervous system learned to survive. But what protected you then may be pushing people away now.

If you’re ready to understand why you do this, and how to soften it,
Start by getting curious about the part of you that’s trying so hard to help.

Healing begins with awareness.

Emotions are there to help. When we listen to what they have to say, they will lessen in intensity.

Self-care is essential for whole person wellness. Caring for self includes

pausing for rest
saying “no” to others’ requests
making time for restorative activities
practicing emotional regulation
placing yourself in situations where you are valued and loved

Sometimes, honoring your need for self-care includes getting yourself to the therapist’s office and allowing someone else to help carry the emotional load.

Care well for yourselves, friends.

Let’s walk on it (as in, let’s sleep on it).

Let’s walk on it (as in, let’s sleep on it).

Stressful meetings, intense conversations, therapy sessions, and any other emotional situation should involve walking. Either during or after. Walking is the body’s most natural way of regulating and processing emotions. It’s how we make sense of what happens to us. The next time you have to talk about something hard, do it while you walk. The next time you need to make an important decision walk on it before you decide
