OTC Richwood Valley Academic Learning Center

The Academic Learning Center (ALC) provides quality assistance for all students attending Ozarks Tech. A valid form of photo I.D.

The ALC focuses on students and assists with their academic needs such as: Coaching/Tutoring, Proctored Exams, Library & Disability Support Services. The Academic Learning Center provides assistance to the students and faculty at OTC Richwood Valley Campus in a variety of ways. Below you will find a description of the different departments within the Academic Learning Center. For more information on each department, please click on the link to their Web Pages on the OTC Web Site listed below each description. Tutoring: We offer free tutoring to students enrolled in online and seated courses in subjects varying from math, chemistry, biology, CIS, and writing assistance. Tutoring is on a walk-in basis and is also available online via Zoom. You can find tutor schedules and a list of available subjects at this link: https://richwoodvalley.otc.edu/alc/tutoring/. Library: The Library offers 1-on-1 research assistance, online resources, print and audio/visual materials, study spaces, and other materials and services to meet the academic needs of students and faculty. Testing: We provide testing services for students who need to take exams in a proctored environment. is required and exams are appointment based. Did you know...?
As an OTC student, you have the ability to check out books from other college libraries in the area using your OTC SmartCard? With your ID in hand, you can go to MSSU, Drury, and Evangel (just to name a few) to check out their library materials in person. While we never recommend procrastinating when it comes to researching/writing papers, this privilege definitely comes in handy during 'crunch' time.

The open computer lab (room 207) printer can print in black & white as well as color. For every 1 page of color you print, you will get 2 pages taken off of your PaperCut account. Be sure to make the most out of your allotted 500 prints before the semester is over! The prints do not roll over!
