We were delighted to welcome baby ducklings born right in our courtyard! With a little guidance, this sweet family was safely directed through our lobby and on their way to the water. Big news from Justus! 🎉

Justus Companies raised $30,000 for Family Promise, an organization that helps families experiencing homelessness stay together while providing shelter, meals, and support to move toward stable housing and independence.

This funding helps families get back on their feet and build a stronger future. Thank you to everyone, especially our generous residents and vendors, who supported this effort!

Despite the rain, our Earth Day hike at Promenade Trails was a meaningful way to connect with nature and each other. 🌧️🌎

Participants had the opportunity to learn about the honey bees, birds, fish, and flowers native to the area, as well as hear more about the Justus plan for the future nature preserve.

Our Earth Day morning at Promenade Trails started with a great breakfast, bringing everyone together before a thoughtful presentation on the local ecosystem. 🌿☕

We learned about the honey bees, birds, fish, and flowers in the area, and got an introduction to the Justus plan for the future nature preserve. 🐝🌎

To wrap it up, we explored how to download and use the iNaturalist app—so we can keep discovering and documenting nature long after today. 📱🌱

🌿 Through a Child’s Eyes… Promenade Trails Comes to Life 🚲🐦

One of the greatest joys of the Promenade Nature Preserve is seeing it experienced through the eyes of our youngest visitors.
Angela Miller’s (EVP/COO of Justus) granddaughter, Quinn, recently spent time exploring the trails—and came away inspired. She even created her own “advertisements” to share with her preschool teachers after her visit. 💛

What caught her attention?

🐦 The bird feeding station
🌿 The hammock garden (a perfect place to relax and sway)
🚲 And of course… the trails for bike riding

To her, it wasn’t just a walk—it was an adventure.

That’s what makes this space so special. It’s not just about nature—it’s about connection, imagination, and creating moments that stay with you long after the visit.

She started as the Community Manager at the Bridgewater Apartments and now serves as the Multi Site Community Manager for Promenade Apartments and Promenade Trails. Known for her leadership, compassion, and dedication to residents, Echo brings positive energy to her communities every day. A Michigan native and Detroit Lions fan, she enjoys time with her children, working out, music, and making memories with loved ones. Thank you, Echo, for four great years!
