What if managing LVAD logistics felt less fragmented?

VADTrac gives care teams a single, connected view of the information they rely on every day- from INR results and vital signs to equipment tracking, supply oversight, and recall notifications.
Instead of juggling multiple systems, clinicians can monitor patients, review data, and manage inventory from one secure dashboard.

It’s not just about data. It’s about having the right information, at the right time, in one place- so care stays proactive, not reactive.

Caring for someone with an LVAD is rewarding- but it can also be challenging. Here are a few tips to help caregivers stay supported while providing care:

• Establish routines for monitoring and supplies
• Keep an open line of communication with the care team
• Take breaks- your well-being matters too
• Build a support network of friends, family, or peer groups
• Ask questions, no question is too small

Behind every confident LVAD patient is education that makes daily care feel manageable.

Brittany Compton, BSN, RN, serves as ODI’s Lead Patient Educator, playing a vital role in helping patients and caregivers feel informed, prepared, and supported as they transition from hospital to home. Through hands-on guidance, clear communication, and compassionate support, she helps turn complex care into practical, everyday understanding.

At ODI, we believe education empowers patients, and empowered patients are better equipped to navigate life with an LVAD.

💙 Join us in recognizing Brittany and the important role patient education plays in heart health.

As Heart Month comes to a close, we wanted to end by revisiting a story that continues to inspire our team.

Elijah’s journey reminds us that living with an LVAD doesn’t have to mean putting life on hold. It can mean adapting, finding new rhythms, and continuing to do what you love.

Stories like his reflect the resilience we see every day in our patients. We’re honored to support individuals like Elijah along the way, and grateful to be part of so many journeys marked by courage, progress, and possibility.

Let’s work together to keep heart health top of mind- not just this month, but all year long. 💙❤️

Heart health is a team effort- and for LVAD patients, that team often includes caregivers, clinicians, and trusted partners along the way.

At ODI, we support patients and their caregivers with the tools and services needed to manage care at home with confidence. From remote INR and vitals monitoring to driveline supplies, preventive maintenance, and dedicated account management, our goal is to make daily care more manageable and less overwhelming.

Because when patients feel supported, and caregivers feel prepared, heart health becomes something they can navigate together.

Living with an LVAD means heart health becomes part of everyday life, not just something to think about during appointments.

This Heart Month, we wanted to share a few simple reminders that supporting your heart often comes down to small, steady habits- in how you care for your health and how you move through each day.

Whether you’re a patient or a caregiver, those routines matter. One step at a time, they help build confidence, consistency, and peace of mind.

February is Heart Month. ❤️ A time to pause, reflect, and bring greater awareness to the importance of cardiovascular health.

For the LVAD patients, clinicians, and families we work alongside every day, heart health isn’t just a conversation for one month- it’s ongoing, personal, and deeply meaningful.

At ODI, we’re proud to support that journey through dependable at-home care, remote monitoring, and partnership with care teams nationwide.

Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing patient perspectives and resources that highlight what living with heart disease truly looks like, beyond the hospital walls.

Not every part of LVAD care shows up in a chart or portal. It can look like a phone call that answers the same question twice, knowing supplies will arrive on time, or simply having one less thing to worry about.

Those moments matter. And they guide how ODI supports patients and care teams every day, in ways that are steady, thoughtful, and reliable.
