Get to know Dr. Neel Patel 🌟

Dr. Patel is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Indiana Orthopedic Institute, specializing in total joint replacement, including hip and knee replacements, partial knee replacements, revision procedures, and advanced techniques such as robotic-assisted and outpatient joint replacements. Patients come to him for joint pain that interferes with daily life, whether from wear and tear or more complex conditions.

His journey in joint replacement combines research, leadership, and fellowship-trained expertise. Dr. Patel values patient education, shared decision-making, and a personalized approach to care, helping patients understand their options and move forward with confidence.

Originally born in Mumbai, India, and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at New York Medical College, and went on to complete his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at JIS Orthopedics. He has contributed to orthopedic research throughout his career and has presented at national and international meetings.

Get to know Dr. T. Kyle Stoops 🌟

Dr. Stoops is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the Indiana Orthopedic Institute specializing in total hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, revision surgeries, and outpatient joint replacement. Patients come to him for hip and knee pain of all kinds, from acute injuries to chronic, limiting conditions.

His journey in joint replacement combines research, education, and fellowship-trained expertise. Dr. Stoops values patient education, evidence-based care, and using the latest techniques and technology to help patients recover safely and thrive.

A Midwest native from Southern Ohio, Dr. Stoops completed his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, residency at the University of South Florida and Florida Orthopaedic Institute, and a fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at Indiana University School of Medicine and Indiana Orthopedic Institute. He has presented his research at national and international meetings and has cared for veterans as a staff surgeon at the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Hospital.

We have a research coordinator and research area at our flagship Noblesville location. Many of our physicians publish peer-reviewed studies as part of our emphasis on using evidence-based protocols to improve care. We also teach, including our recent Musculoskeletal Summit for primary care providers, with hip and knee replacement surgeon Dr. Timothy Williams shown here.
