Ending August with a Grateful Heart 💜
Yesterday’s nature walk at the Anza Trail was an adventure! 🌿✨
🫣I swear some parts of that trail are so full of energy it feels like spirits are keeping an eye on me 👀 (the good kind, I hope!). The history there is incredible, so many stories in those paths.
😊I also bumped into a few little (and not-so-little 😅) friends along the way… 🐍🦌🦅🐜. Whenever I see animals, I remind myself that I’m in their home. I always greet them, thank them, and keep moving. My sister taught me a prayer when I was little for moments like that. I’m not sure I say it perfectly, but it always makes me feel safe.
🎶 I never listen to music when I hike. Instead, I listen to the sounds around me the wind, the birds, the quiet rustle of leaves. It keeps me aware, helps me spot animals, and allows me to connect deeply with nature.
✨ 🧘♀️Hiking alone is my meditation. People often ask if I’m afraid, but I’m not. Most animals are far more afraid of us than we are of them and as long as I respect their space, I feel at peace. It’s humans I’m more cautious of 😂. Hiking is my meditation, my little challenge, and my happy place
🚶♀️ ⛰️ 🥾 Hiking challenges me, grounds me, and fills me with gratitude. It’s not for everyone, but it’s something I truly love and I won’t let fear stop me from exploring. 🌿
August, you were amazing. Here’s to more trails, more nature, and more gratitude. 💜
Cheers to a wonderful September 🍂
🤗Keep an eye out for some upcoming group hiking invites/dates.
