What a beautiful morning, incredible reflection as I wake to start my day and continue to prepare the space for the upcoming weekend retreat - Awakened Presence with Horses Weekend Retreat

Lately I’ve been sitting with the medicine of the directions.

As I prepare for the fire ceremony and shamanic journey at the ranch, I chose my animal totems — and what came through felt less like coincidence and more like truth I couldn’t ignore.

Eagle in the East — asking me to rise, to see clearly, to stop getting caught in the noise and remember the bigger vision.

Otter in the South — a reminder that life isn’t meant to be built through pressure, but through joy, connection, and trust.

Lynx in the West — deep intuition, the quiet knowing. The part of me that already knows what is and isn’t aligned… without needing to justify it.

Alligator in the North — patience, instinct, grounded wisdom. Move strategically. Not everything needs to be rushed.

Skunk above — stand in your truth without over-explaining. Your presence speaks for itself.

Spider below — the weaver. The reminder that I am building something of my own, thread by thread, even when it feels slow.

And Rabbit within — the part of me that feels fear, that questions, that scans for risk… but also the part that keeps me aware and awake.

When I step back and look at all of it together, it feels like a map.

Not of where I’ve been — but of where I’m being asked to go.

To trust what I already know.
To move with intention.
To build from alignment, not obligation.

This is the energy I’m bringing into our next retreat — into the fire, into the journey, into the space we’ll hold together.

Not to become someone new… but to remember who you are underneath the noise.

Life has a way of guiding us if we’re willing to listen.

RIP Tiggerettes 2013-2025

We hope for a mechanical fix,
We pray for a spiritual healing,
We stay strong when our mare is failing.
Her hooves are what carry her, give her freedom.
What would happen in the wild with this horrible disease,
Probably man-made, we destroy so many beings with our need to hold on,
With our need to fix.
Yet she suffers under our care, even with all the love we have.
We hold on with hope, we see her strength and courage,
Feeling it’s her way of saying, keep going.
But she’s courageous for her herd,
She’s going to fight, even through her agony.
She fought til the end, not wanting to leave her herd,
Her duty, her lifeline, her purpose.
The call of her mates as her spirit runs free,
The Echo of her spirit still lives in our soul.
