I shared the first edition of my Triple HP Ranch newsletter this week.

It feels like a trailhead.

In it, I wrote about how my leadership style has been shaped over the past two decades — not by boardrooms or certifications — but by my herd. Horses have taught me more about clarity, boundaries, nervous system regulation, and authentic presence than any traditional leadership training ever could.

They don’t respond to performance.
They respond to truth.

This is also the foundation of the work I offer through equine-facilitated coaching and shadow coaching here at Triple HP Ranch — creating space for people to come home to themselves, to lead with presence, and to step into deeper partnership with life.

The newsletter also ties into my upcoming retreat, Awakened Presence with Horses, because the work we’ll be doing there is rooted in the same place: grounded leadership and healing from the inside out.

She’s a beauty

RIP Tiggerettes 2013-2025

We hope for a mechanical fix,
We pray for a spiritual healing,
We stay strong when our mare is failing.
Her hooves are what carry her, give her freedom.
What would happen in the wild with this horrible disease,
Probably man-made, we destroy so many beings with our need to hold on,
With our need to fix.
Yet she suffers under our care, even with all the love we have.
We hold on with hope, we see her strength and courage,
Feeling it’s her way of saying, keep going.
But she’s courageous for her herd,
She’s going to fight, even through her agony.
She fought til the end, not wanting to leave her herd,
Her duty, her lifeline, her purpose.
The call of her mates as her spirit runs free,
The Echo of her spirit still lives in our soul.
