Through hippotherapy and specialized services, our therapy horses and licensed therapists help kids achieve what once seemed impossible.

The reality? One hour costs over $300. Insurance covers less than 1/3. Our community fills the gap.
No child should miss out because of cost.

Why do we use the horse in hippotherapy? 🐴

The horse's walk provides sensory input through movement—it's variable, rhythmic, and repetitive. This creates movement responses in the patient that are similar to the pelvic movement patterns we use when walking.

Because every horse's gait is different, the therapist can adjust the amount of sensory input for each patient. Then we combine this movement with other treatment strategies to help achieve their goals.

The horse becomes the therapy tool. ✨

We're so grateful to have Sam Sousa hosting a table at this year's Saddle Up event. Here's why he chooses to support Friends of Leaps & Bounds:

FOLB funds life-changing pediatric therapy for children with disabilities in the Inland Empire—including the incredible power of hippotherapy.
