Graduation Notification: This week marks a landmark acheivement.
I am officially graduating the Masters Program in Psychology from Argosy University on Friday November 17th, 2017.

Thank you to the God of Heaven, Creator, and Maker of all men, all hearts--I praise you for imputing wisdom in the ability to understand more of marriage family and mental health problems in our society, our world.

Thank you to my ever-present love, partner, and best friend Kristine Dian Doty. In 25 years of marriage with you. Your love has been a consistent strength. This accomplishment we share together; it is as much yours as it is mine--it is ours together. We will find the need and meet it.

To my loyal daughter, Samantha May Doty. You mirror your mothers consistence; and great are the rewards in the long-run of those who run in such a way. Your a great daugther, and I am greatful for you in my life.

To my daughters in law Joanna and Claudia Doty. Thank you for the peace in supporting the family and living healthy and congruent lives w the boys, It has brought peace to my heart in pursuing this goal.

Thank you to Jonathan and Christopher Doty, for your integrity with our family; you are great sons. Thanks for times of refreshing and companionship in the moments that we are able get together. You provide a certain environment that is void of drama and chaotic distractions; your becoming men has been a joy to participate in and watch.

To my brother Scott; thank you for your continuing support and words of wisdom when it comes to business and portending to these things. You have seen many sides in this life to all of the good and the bad--brothers forever...

To Hawaii and Shane: Thank you for your collateral support with my aging parents when they so needed love and nurturance; that in the last days of thier lives, a mutual care and admiration was there, partnering, mitigating, motivating--behind the scenes the wheels might have stopped on this--you Hawaii are an angel...

Special thanks to my friends...Jeff Wood, Mark Lewis, Jeff Jernnigan, Kristina Baz, The IOP Team: Anthony, Otto, and Ruby; the entirety of my staff at FCR and the MFT support staff. No mans victories to climb mountains in his life-time can soley be credited to himself. There are always others to be accredited in ones accomplishments.

To my mother and father that passed away in September a few months ago--I know in Spirit, this was a dream of yours for the family; in your eyes this had meaning for you two as parents. I am sure every parent wants this as well for their children. You are cherished in the love you gave every day of your lives to me, making it capable.

I am a blessed man, for sure...

The substance of a man is shown in the hardest of his days, not in his ease. It is fire that will draw out the realities of the substance and making of what a man is, and that for all to see, and to marvel... postively or negatively in every case.

Proverbs 23:7: As a man thinketh in His heart, so he is...!
Albert Bandura a Standford University Social Scientist, and President of the APA, was quoted in regards to self efficacy as saying: "...people with low self-efficacy tend to focus on personal inadequacies, anticipate problematic circumstances, and overexaggerate difficulties, while individuals with high self-efficacy tend to invest greater effort and motivation to complete difficult tasks..."

Banduras research affirms what the Bible has come to conclude, long ago, that we can only project what it is that be believe ourselves to be and label.

Our presumed view of self are a major part of our successes and failures in this life.

Conclusion: We need to know what God says about the power of thinking and test what He thinks of us first before we conclude on the basis of either our successes and or failures in self labeling.

The risk in holding oneself to a false identity may to assume a path of life trajectory that is dangerous to our current understanding and competencies. Placing ourselves to low is to risk losing out on opportunities as is taking on things above pay grade egotistically and be asked to step down.

A few degrees off in this life can make for severe collisions with negative results if we are not cautious. Just the same proper analysis of who we are can break the glass cielings in self abasement and self-limitations

Watch the way you think about, label, and or measure yourself; for it could be both the beggining and or end of any desired result you may be seeking to produce in front of you (See: Romans 12:3. "Think of yourself soberly...").

I can find no fault in others since I could only partially understand things from the realm of my own subjective reality. And by doing so claim to have greater knowledge than what ones own capacity actually is? I would guess many a fool would believe in such a stunt...? But perhaps that is why Jesus said "judge not..." Right?

The loss of a loved one carries the weight of permanence. There is no further phone calls, personal conversations, amends to be made, and memories to be created. This is why, if you love people, you ought to make time now, with those most important to you for the opportunities you get are temporal in nature this side of heaven.
