Join us for a day of community, care, and connection!
We’re coming together this Saturday, November 22nd, for a powerful Community Outreach Give Back event, uniting organizations, neighbors, and leaders to uplift, support, and pour into our city.

From 12PM-2PM at The Resilience Center (1401 Melon Street, Norfolk), we’ll be distributing resources, offering support, and building relationships that strengthen our community from the inside out.

This event is proudly supported by partners committed to service, healing, and unity. Together, we are choosing compassion, choosing connection, and choosing our community.

GEAR Recovery is teaming up with the Coastal Community Design Collaborative and Hampton University Architecture once again to bring youth and families another hands-on, creative learning experience!

Come build, create, and explore how engineers design solutions that protect our homes and communities from storms. From fun building activities to planting your very own seedling, this event blends climate awareness with STEAM learning in a way kids love.

Giveaways provided for all participants!
Food will be provided, so come ready to learn and eat!

Yesterday the gentlemen of stopped by the Resilience Center as a part of their community service and helped with a major project followed by popcorn, pizza and a movie. Much appreciated because this is the start of an even bigger project! 💪🏽🪴

Join us as we give back through our Food Drive November 12th-26th and our Winter Clothing Drive December 3rd-23rd. All donations benefit local families in need.

Drop off location:

Monday-Saturday 11:00AM-7:00PM
Food Drive: Nonperishable items like canned goods, pasta, baby food, peanut butter, and more.
Clothing Drive: New or gently worn hats, gloves, socks, and coats for all ages.
