January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month! 🩷

Your health starts with knowledge 👇

✨ HPV is very common, and some types can lead to cervical cancer - but prevention is possible
✨ The HPV vaccine + early screening = powerful protection
✨ Regular screening later in life helps catch changes early, when they’re easiest to treat

Learning about your body = taking charge of your future!

Happy New Year 🥳✨

The start of a new year is a perfect time to pause, reflect, and decide what habits make you feel your best.

In 2026, we’re focusing on routine over perfection - not doing everything, but doing one small thing consistently and intentionally.

Start small. One habit at a time. Tiny changes really do add up.

What’s one healthy habit you’re bringing into 2026? 👇🏽

Grateful for an inspiring Research Day at Eastern Virginia Medical School!

Such a great opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate amazing public health work happening across our community.

We were so proud to have Luwam A., one of our lead Health Educators, present on behalf of our Teen Health 360 team. She shared our summer pilot project:

“Breaking Barriers, Building Knowledge: Delivering Evidence-Based & Trauma-Informed Sexual Health Education to Adolescents in Residential Care.”

This project teamed us up with a local organization to bring an interactive, trauma-informed sexual health program to youth in residential care. The pilot boosted sexual health knowledge, increased comfort asking questions, and showed just how important it is to create safe, supportive spaces for young people to talk openly about relationships, consent, and their bodies.

So grateful for our partners, our dedicated educators, and the youth who inspire us every day!

💙 November = American Diabetes Month 💙

Diabetes doesn’t just affect adults - it impacts teens too.
And guess what? Our everyday habits matter more than we think.

😴 Getting real sleep
🚶🏽‍♀️Moving our bodies
💧 Staying hydrated
🍓 Choosing fuel that actually helps us feel good

These aren’t “perfect habits” - they’re protective habits.
Taking care of your body now = protecting your future self. ✨
