Confirmed Measles Case Reported in Platte County

Platte County health officials have confirmed a case of measles and are alerting the public to possible exposures.

According to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, individuals who were at the following locations during these times may have been exposed:
• Shell Creek Baptist Church, Columbus — December 24, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Columbus Community Hospital Emergency Department, Columbus — December 29, from 2 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Anyone who was at these locations during the listed times is encouraged to complete the state’s risk assessment survey or contact local health officials for guidance.
