An Improving Accessibility in the City of Norfolk: Input Session will be on Wednesday, December 3 at 2:00pm until 3:30pm at ECI. The meeting will gather your ideas of how to improve accessibility – what needs to be addressed, what are the priorities, and your suggestions for how to make needed improvements. Adrienne Gardner, Senior Project Manager for Access and Opportunity with the City of Norfolk will facilitate the meeting. People with disabilities and advocates from other cities are welcome to join the meeting to provide input on your travel, work and use of local government programs and facilities in Norfolk. Chesapeake Redevelopment and Housing Authority is accepting applications for Landmark Apartments, a Project Based Voucher (PBV)/ Low-income Housing Tax Program. Landmark Apartments offers 2 and 3-bedroom apartments. Landmark Apartments are located at 2900 Fireside Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23324.

The waitlist will be open on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 8:00 AM and will close on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

The 2025 Participant Holiday Party will be December 10, 12noon – 3:00pm, at the Philippine Cultural Center, (4857 Baxter Road, Virginia Beach). The party is open to participants only. The cost is $5.00 per person and payable at the door by cash, check, or debit or credit card. Participants may register one guest for $5.00.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Effective Nov 1, NRHA has a new housing wait list portal
Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) has moved the waitlists to a new online portal, called Rent Cafe. If you have applied for housing or Section 8 with NRHA, you should have received a letter from NRHA in October that gives you a registration code. You will need to use the registration code to register in Rent Cafe at https://housing.nrha.us/. If you don't have a registration code, you can still register. It is important to register at Rent Cafe by January 15, to be able to stay on the wait list. Otherwise, you can be removed from the wait list. For further information, please contact NRHA at 757-623-1111.
