February is a month of nourishment.
You'reprobably saying NO WAY... after all, animals are hibernating, trees are bare, here in Hampton Roads remnants of snow and ice dot our landscape, and quite frankly, the USA is a dumpster fire in many ways.

So how is February the month of nourishment?

My friend, this is the time to go WITHIN and give yourself permission to find the nourishment that you need. You must fill your empty cup because spring is just around the corner.

You must ask yourself: WHAT DO I NEED RIGHT NOW?

What must I find to soothe my tired soul? 🕯

What do I need to ease my tense body? 🧘‍♀️

What must I embrace to invigorate my spirit? 🎨

Personally, I'm taking these long nights to roll back my bedtime and embrace a better sleep schedule. ALL of me needs that.
I'm finding my way back to a consistent, daily practice and venturing outside everyday is part of that (after all, the Year of the Hermit is over!)
Finally, I've signed up for a 13-wk yoga class that is quite the challenge to commit to, but so fulfilling! I literally HEAR my body say: you've needed this ❤️

So sit in the stillness.
Get comfortable.
Start at the top of your head and work your way down, noticing everywhere that is tense, achy, sad, tired, needs invigorating, or is just plumb worn out.

Head hurts? Give yourself permission to take a nap
Shoulders ache? Schedule that massage you've put off for 6 months.
Lower back or feet killing you? Take a hot bath or find a yoga class
Mind tired of wondering where our country will be next year? Volunteer so you can help be the change (we are working on adding links in our bio... stay tuned)

FEB 28- Join us for our monthly Guided Sound
Meditation. We will only have one more meditation at GWS as our lease expires at the end of March.

Im so glad I did this, yall!
I hung these beautiful pendulums in the Leo full moon on Imbolc to charge them w the strong energies of both: hope, strength, nurturing, embodiment, courage
Combined w the outgoing energy of the Year of the Snake giving rise to the year of the Fire Horse, it reminds us that some chapters are meant to close and to ask ourselves what we need to release in order to move confidently into the upcoming year

I don't like bringing politics into the space that we try so hard to keep peaceful.

But our country is not at peace
and we are not staying silent.

If you think the calls of fascism and authoritarianism are hyperbole... then what will open your eyes?

When our 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 14th amendments are being blatantly disregarded?

When US CITIZENS DIE at the hands of Proud Boys who are cosplaying U.S. soldiers and laughing that its like playing "Call of Duty"?

When ICE has access to surveillance software and creates a database of "domestic terrorists" that consist of anti-Trump supporters?

When German media likens the US Border Patrol Commander to a N@zi? (And THEY would know)

When our President and his incompetent staff consistently circumvent the law & leave Americans less safe?

When the GOV does more to protect pdofiles than to release files that would incriminate them of such?

When the GOV destroys fishing boats full of people in International waters, claiming they were smuggling drugs, but cant show proof?

When your GOV tears down a historical building with no permits to build a bunker...er "ballroom"?

When allocated GOV funding is withheld or removed simply because they dont align w the President?

When federal employees are fired and replaced with loyalists?

When the Administration commits ethics violations every day with NO repercussions?

When the SCOTUS gives the Pres full immunity?

When CHATGPT says that we are quickly approaching a true fascist state?

I could keep going.
