Heckert Health Center, LLC We are your family practice clinic in northeast Nebraska. We all know that health care today is just not the same.

People often take insurance coverage with high deductibles. Here at Heckert Health Center, LLC, we are providing you with an option. At each visit you choose a Path:

Path #1 Direct Pay: Services are offered at a direct pay (cash, credit card, check) rate. Payment is expected in full for all services provided the day of the visit. Path #2 Use Insurance: A copy of your current insurance card and full payment of your co-pay is required before your visit. Failure to keep a scheduled appointment and give as much of a 24-hour notice as possible will generate a $30.00 No Call No Show Courtesy Fee. We are honored to sponsor a Christmas tree at the Norfolk Arts Center at 305 N. 5th Street in Norfolk. Be sure to stop by the large gallery and vote for your favorite tree. Area Girl Scouts and Leaders made the ornaments. Dr. Wende Heckert, APRN was a Girl Scout in Neligh for 10 years in grade school. And Kathy was a Leader many years ago.

This is our 11th year of supporting Toys for Tots in our communities. The box will be in our office 2501 Lakeridge Drive Suite 104 in Norfolk, from now until Friday, December 5, 2025. Stop by with your new, unwrapped gift. This year is the 250th Anniversary of the Unites States Marine Corp; they sponsor Toys for Tots!

My goodness the weather sure was nice today. Good time for kids to be starting back to school, students moving into the dorms, and for learning to commence. Speaking of learning; I am excited to have the opportunity to attend the International Association of Forensic Nurses annual conference next week in Omaha, Nebraska. Some may ask why I would want to attend...and you may not know my second Master's Degree is in Forensic Science and my Doctor of Nursing Practice is in Forensic Nursing. I will actually be listening to a few talks from former classmates from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. We will be closed from August 18-22, 2025 for this reason. I will be available via email at some times during the day. You are welcome to email or leave a voice message during this time.

Summer is pretty much here!
May brought many graduations, and we continue to congratulate the Class of 2025.....
Now, on to June weddings; we have one we are attending coming up very soon. Heckert Health will be closed Thursday, June 12, 2025 through Tuesday, June 17, 2025. We will resume normal hours on Wednesday, the 18th. Please feel free to leave a message via email during this time.
