Ehler-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) can affect multiple structures in the eyes and often goes underdiagnosed. It is linked to a genetic mutation in the genes that code for collagen production. Hypermobile joints, skin laxity and abnormal curvature of the spine are some common indicators. Retinal imaging, OCT testing and corneal topography are recommended to monitor for ocular problems associated with Ehler-Danlos.
