📕Dr. Seuss Week 2026 📗

Also known as Read Across America Week, is a nationwide celebration of reading that runs from March 2 to March 6. The event coincides with the birthday of beloved children's author Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) on March 2. 👏

Our amazing Activities Department planned a fun filled week of dress up days and fun for residents and staff. Complete with reading, crafts, and games! 📚

🎉 Happy National Employee Appreciation Day!

Today we celebrated the amazing team at The Loft of Normal with a fun movie theater–style popcorn bar! 🍿 Staff enjoyed popcorn with lots of sweet candy toppings, along with delicious sandwiches and cupcakes catered by Transitions Hospice and Avanti’s.
It’s a small way to say a big THANK YOU to the incredible employees who bring compassion, dedication, and joy to our community every single day. We appreciate everything you do for our residents and for each other. 💛

🌶️🔥 The Loft of Normal’s Annual Chili Cookoff was a HUGE success! 🔥🌶️
Yesterday we celebrated National Chili Day in the most delicious way possible — with our annual chili cookoff! Our team brought the heat with some amazing recipes, and the competition was fierce.
After plenty of tasting (and maybe a few second helpings 😉), our staff cast their votes…
🏆 Congratulations to Lashawnda, our 1st Place Winner! 🏆
Her chili stole the show and earned the top spot!
Thank you to everyone who participated, cooked, tasted, and helped make the day so much fun. Events like these remind us how special our Loft of Normal community truly is. ❤️
Already looking forward to next year’s cookoff and seeing who gets the chili trophy next! 🌶️✨

We had a blast last night at Faith in Action - Bloomington/Normal’s Mardi Gras Bingo Bonanza! It was SO much fun that these are the only photos we managed to grab! 🎉

The Loft of Normal sponsored the “Cover All” prize which was a $100 gift card to Rob Dob's Restaurant which was paired with a gold rose.

Great non-profit, great people, and nonstop laughs all night long. The Loft of Normal is a proud sponsor of Faith in Action! 💜
