Clarity builds confidence.

Informed women make stronger health decisions.

📝A July 2024 study in the Journal of Affective Disorders found that women in perimenopause are about 40% more likely to experience depression than women before or after this stage.

This data reinforces the importance of actively screening for mood changes during perimenopause and ensuring women receive timely support and treatment.

✔️Early evaluation improves outcomes.
✔️When mood changes are addressed promptly, women experience faster stabilization and better long-term mental health.

Does this statistic surprise you?

Brain fog is a common — and often misunderstood — symptom of perimenopause.

When concentration, recall, and mental processing slow down, the brain has to work harder to complete everyday tasks. That extra cognitive strain increases stress hormones and reduces emotional bandwidth. Over time, this can contribute to anxiety, irritability, frustration, and low mood.

Many women begin to doubt themselves when brain fog appears. That loss of confidence can amplify emotional distress and create a cycle: cognitive fatigue → stress → worse mood → poorer concentration.

Sleep disruption and hormonal fluctuation intensify this loop, which is why brain fog and mental health symptoms so often appear together during perimenopause.

Have you ever experienced feeling 'foggy'?

📌Did you know that sleep disruption is one of the strongest drivers of mental health changes during perimenopause?!

🌜Hormonal fluctuation can fragment sleep, reduce restorative rest, and heighten stress reactivity. When sleep declines, anxiety increases, mood becomes less stable, and cognitive function suffers. The reassuring part: improving sleep often improves mood.

Sleep is NOT a luxury; it is foundational mental health care during this transition.
