Beginner Stretches Everyone Should Try: Part 4 β¨
This almost neutral reclined back extension is an antidote to our normally stooped modern posture. When we stoop the front body muscles of our neck, shoulders, chest and abdomen become tight. This restorative pose can be done for up to ten minutes or more with our arms in various positions to help reset the shortened resting tones of these front body muscles. This position can also be used for meditation. In general, opening the front body counteracts depression and is generally uplifting or even invigorating.
