Hi Friends!! I haven’t been on instagram much in the past few months so I just wanted to say hello and give you all an update on what is going on over at Sooner State Doula!

First of all, my family got updated photos from and I can’t get over how stunning they are!! I highly recommend her if you need some updated family photos as well!

Second, I wanted to give you all an update on my birth availability! I thought the on call lifestyle of birth work would get easier as my kids have gotten older but it’s actually gotten a lot harder. For instance, I was at a birth on my oldest daughter’s third birthday (she is 12 now!) As heartbreaking as that was for me, she had no idea and we just celebrated the next day. There was no disappointment and no tears. Now if I miss a dance recital or a soccer game it is an enormous heartbreak. The love and sacredness of family is exactly what got me into birth work, so it wouldn’t be right to continue filling my calendar with births like I have in the past. Right now I am only taking a very select amount of births. Currently I only have one available spot left for August and (pending) a spot for November. If you are a repeat client please do not wait to reach out to me if you find out you are expecting again!

With that being said, as I take a step back from births in this season of life, my postpartum calendar is opening up! I will be taking on more daytime and overnight postpartum clients. Currently I have postpartum availability for July and beyond, both day and night!

Lastly, I am still teaching classes with ! In fact, we added a brand new breastfeeding class we will be teaching at in Norman! So feel free to contact me for a group or private class! My calendar usually books up about a month in advance so be sure to give me plenty of time to schedule your class!

Thank you all for the support through the last 10 years. Watching women become mothers again and again has encouraged me to be a more present, thoughtful, and intuitive mother myself. It is a joy and an incredible honor to watch you all shine at motherhood. I cannot thank you enough for that incredible opportunity!✨🦋

After witnessing hundreds of births, I can say without hesitation: there is nothing more powerful than a mother’s love.

I’ve watched women dig deep into the core of who they are—giving their strength, their breath, and their very bodies to bring new life into the world. It’s raw. It’s holy. It’s the kind of love that transforms everything it touches.

Motherhood is full of quiet sacrifices—sleepless nights, worn hands, stretched hearts—and yet, mothers give and give again, fueled by a love that is both fierce and tender.

And isn’t that a glimpse of Jesus? He too gave His body for us, endured pain for our redemption, and loves with a depth we’ll never fully grasp.

To all the mothers—whether you carried, birthed, adopted, fostered, or mother in a thousand unseen ways—you are living reflections of God’s love. You are incredible. You are sacred. You are seen.

It’s the beginning of World Doula Week! As I reflect on 10 years as a doula, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the journey. Over the years, I’ve had the incredible honor of watching friends and family become clients—and clients become lifelong friends. I’ve held hands, wiped tears, and whispered encouragement in the most sacred moments of their lives.

I’ve witnessed the resilience of mothers facing unexpected cesareans, NICU stays, postpartum depression, and the profound grief of pregnancy and infant loss. And I’ve also had the joy of celebrating triumphant VBACs, long-awaited rainbow babies, the miracle of IVF and embryo adoption, and the pure relief of a mother finally holding her baby in her arms after an arduous journey.

Every client, every baby, every family has left an imprint on my heart. This work is more than a job—it’s a calling. To those who have invited me into your birth stories, thank you. It’s a privilege to walk alongside you in these sacred moments.

❤️ February Recap ❤️
This month welcomed a lot of Sooner State Doula babies!

This was the busiest month of my doula career! SEVEN babies were born in February. Six of my own clients and one amazing couple who welcomed me as their back up doula!

Three babies were born in three consecutive days! They all took their turns which I was so very grateful for.

Two babies came during the icy weather, which I was not as grateful for! 😅 But each baby and momma made it safely to their birthing location so I will count that as a win!

Each family has such a unique and special story and I am so honored I was chosen to support them. 🥰
