A splendid space 🛠
We are so excited about the completion of our hospital unit renovation project. The work started in 2022 to refresh the buildings where our inpatients stay.

Toy time 😁
Ronald "RJ" was playing with an assortment of switch toys and cause and effect toys during a session with Jennifer Hughes, a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. RJ was working on reaching and grasping toys, and doing some sensory play with kinetic sand.

Focusing on more foods 😋
Mateo is working with Annie Walker, a speech-language pathologist, on getting comfortable with accepting a larger variety of foods.
During a recent session, he tried Cheetos and grilled chicken, and worked on strengthening his tongue and cheek muscles to be more efficient with chewing.

Jobs at Camp Claphans 🏕
We are taking applications now for counselors at Camp Claphans, the center's summer camp program. Camp staff get to work one-on-one with campers as they participate in activities like swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, archery and arts and crafts.

Amazing generosity 💟
We are deeply grateful to the individuals, organizations and companies who have shown such generosity and kindness to our hospital this holiday season. We received gifts for the kids, donations for the center and Camp Claphans and beautiful quilts for our patients.
Our thanks to:
♥ Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph Catholic Church and Our Lady of Lebanon (Marian Rite) in Norman for hosting a toy drive every year for our patients.
♥ A local men's Bible study group for donating toys to the hospital. The group has raised money and shopped for our patients for 15 years.
♥ The Oklahoma Municipal Contractors Association for donating $8,200 to the center. The center was selected as a charity recipient of proceeds raised during the association's annual golf tournament.
♥ Valero's Benefit for Children grant program for awarding a $75,000 grant to Camp Claphans.
♥ The Mid-Del Stitchin' Sisters Quilt Guild for donating handmade quilts to our kids.
Our heartfelt thank you to these groups and the many others who have helped our hospital this year!
