We would love to see babies around 9 months of age, kids before starting school, and adults each year. We check eye health, vision, eye disease, and fit for contacts and glasses. Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of blindness among older Americans, but new treatments have dramatically changed the course of this disease over the last 10 years, making AMD more manageable than ever before. During AMD Awareness Month in February, we are reminding people with AMD that they can save their vision thanks to recent treatment advances, but early detection is a critical first step.

What is glaucoma?
Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can cause vision loss and blindness by damaging a nerve in the back of your eye called the optic nerve.

The symptoms can start so slowly that you may not notice them. The only way to find out if you have glaucoma is to get a comprehensive eye exam.

There’s no cure for glaucoma, but early treatment can often stop the damage and protect your vision.
