I highly suggest that we have at least one educational appointment before your baby arrives!

Ex- If you will be using your doula benefits- plan to use 2/8 appointments for lactation alone. Appointment may be in person and/ or virtual!

Oklahoma is actively working to change the regulations on Freestanding birth centers that could be covered by Medicaid for reimbursement of licensed midwives. The new regulations offer inclusion of the Oklahoma licensed Certified Professional Midwife-CPM

Please note that public comments are a way to advocate for changes and augmentations of the current proposed rules/regulations before they become law; so your voice is very important.

Open comments from the public will be open until March 23, 3025

The proposed policy changes establish coverage and reimbursement methodologies for birthing centers and licensed midwives. Senate Bill 1739 of the 2024 legislative session removed the state license requirement for birthing centers and directed OHCA to cover the services of freestanding birthing cent...
