✨ Grant Season Is Here! ✨

Grant season is officially upon us, and the NRH Foundation is proud to kick things off by presenting a grant to Norman Regional’s Outpatient Infusion Center!

This grant will help enhance the patient entrance, creating easier access and a smoother experience for those receiving care. From the moment patients arrive, we want them to feel supported, safe, and valued. Improving access is just one more way we are working to remove barriers and strengthen patient care.

And this is just the beginning. This grant is one of many the NRH Foundation will be awarding throughout 2026 to support programs, services, and improvements that directly benefit our patients and community.

This month, we’re proud to spotlight Nyky Wilson, a dedicated member of the Norman Regional Health Foundation Board of Directors, and celebrate her birthday month! 🎂

Nyky joined the NRHF Board in 2019, driven by a deep appreciation for health care workers and a lifelong commitment to community service. She brings enthusiasm, compassion, and a remarkable ability to keep teams organized and moving forward. Simply put, Nyky shows up, engages, and is always willing to help the Foundation accomplish its mission.

Beyond the Board, Nyky is active throughout the Norman community and has a passion for running that has taken her across 29 states and 6 countries so far. Her dedication, both personally and professionally, inspires everyone around her.

Food Is Part of Healing 🥗

“Our mission as the Norman Regional Health Foundation is to elevate health and wellness in our community and people can’t get healthier if they are hungry,” said Erin Barnhart, our executive director of the Foundation. “A week’s worth of food is a lifeline for someone struggling with food insecurity. For some patients this means they can leave the hospital knowing their next few meals are taken care of. They can focus on their recovery.”

Caring for our patients goes beyond hospital walls. Through the Food Pharmacy, patients and employees facing food insecurity receive shelf-stable food, nutrition education, and connections to local resources, so they can focus on healing, not hunger.

Please join us in congratulating Kayla Woody on successfully completing her Vascular Access–Board Certification (VA-BC) Examination! With Kayla’s achievement, the VAST team is now 100% board certified! Now that's an incredible milestone that reflects dedication, expertise, and a deep commitment to patient care!

We are proud to share that the NRH Foundation reimbursed the cost of Kayla’s certification through our continued education grants. Supporting the growth and development of our internal staff is at the heart of what we do because when our caregivers grow, our patients benefit.
