calming their nervous system with consistent routines like a warm bath, quiet reading or soft music can help.

& finally soothe them with cuddles, rocking or a familiar comfort item to help them settle.

Sleep habits change when school is done for the summer, especially for teens. Encourage regular bedtimes and get up times, even if they are shifted later. Two weeks before school starts in the fall, gradually move their bedtimes and getup times back to school schedule. Dont' wait until August for back to school checkups and shots - we have plenty of open slots in June and July. August will get crowded!
