K. Nicole Writing, LLC 💡Tools for daily mental wellness & self-care K. Nicole Writing, LLC was founded and created by Katrina Leggins.

She is a licensed mental health therapist, self-care educator, and speaker. Katrina believes in order to achieve a happy and fulfilling life one must start by gaining self-awareness, reclaim their confidence and look past their fears. Since her adolescence, she has been passionate about helping individuals who struggle with finding their purpose and enjoys playing an active role in their personal journey. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Katrina knew at an early age that her God given purpose was to help people. Growing up, Katrina experienced her own personal struggles of failed relationships, low self-esteem, and even suffered from depression throughout young adulthood. Building a solid foundation on God’s word, personal writing, and tapping into her support system, she learned how valuable her life is and was able to take back control. Writing has been a positive outlet for her since grade school. As Katrina grew older, she started journaling and most recently began sharing the words from those pages realizing that others could not only identify with her but could use her words to heal. Katrina received her BSW and MSW from the University of Oklahoma. She is extremely dedicated to servicing others believing that everyone has the opportunity to change when introduced to the proper tools and has access to a strong support system. Katrina has actively worked in the mental health field for over seven years and enjoys working with children, teens, and young adults from various backgrounds rather it be in a therapeutic setting or working in the community. Katrina not only help individuals with mental illnesses, but personal challenges in life as well. She also has experience working in the educational school system, as well as, community mental health facilities. Through intensive counseling, she works with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and PTSD. As a social worker, Katrina makes sure to work with each client closely aiming to help them find solutions in a diligent way. When she’s not in the office, she loves traveling, writing, working out, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her personal motto is, “Before you can help and inspire others you must be willing to be transparent about your own story”.

Hope you all had a happy and peaceful Christmas. I created many memories with my family, but this one is by far my favorite. Showing up for family is a love language. 💛

My eight-year-old niece reminds me that bonding is self-care too, because being present helps her feel seen and loved.

Protecting your peace isn’t avoidance, it’s emotional regulation. It’s noticing what drains you, what dysregulates you, and what pulls you out of alignment… and making a different choice.

Boundaries, rest, and saying “no” are not personality traits. They’re mental health tools.🌱

I didn’t realize how much my body was holding onto until I got on that table. I left feeling lighter and more relaxed 💆🏾‍♀️

Consider this your reminder: self-care can be practical AND peaceful. My lymphatic drainage massage was everything plus more.

If you’re feeling like giving up, pause. Being tired doesn’t mean you’re done, it means you’re human.

Focus on one small next step, take a real break, and reach out for support. You don’t have to carry this alone.

None of this is “small.” It’s emotional work. It’s growth. It’s healing. And it’s commendable. 💛

You don’t have to be in crisis to take care of yourself. Self-care isn’t selfish, it’s preventative mental health care. 🌱

Think of it as maintenance, not a reward: small, consistent choices that help you stay grounded before life forces you to stop.

When the weather gets colder and the days get shorter, motivation usually follows. That’s not a personal flaw it’s a seasonal reality.

So this is your reminder: consistency doesn’t have to be intense. A walk counts. Stretching counts. Rest counts. The win is keeping your rhythm.

During the holidays when everyone needs something from you, self-care has to be non-negotiable…especially if you’re used to putting yourself last.

What’s your “minimum routine” on low-energy days? 👇🏾
