NEEDED: Medical Assistant for Orthopedic Practice

Responsibilities include:

Clinical duties- Rooming patients, taking vitals, casting, diagnostic imaging, preparing injections and fitting of DME, staple and stitch, etc..

Administrative duties- answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patients' medical records, filling out insurance forms, precertification and authorization of surgeries, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, scheduling surgeries, arranging for hospital admission and, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services and PT and any other duties as required.

Experience in healthcare is required.
Medical Assistant degree required unless sufficient experience is demonstrated. Please email resume to

If you are feeling ill or having symptoms of respiratory illness such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, please call the office to reschedule your appointment until such time your are no longer experiencing these symptoms.

Upon arrival we will be checking temperatures of every individual prior to entry. We ask that every patient and guest remain in their vehicles until they are summoned inside for their appointment. Furthermore, only one person to accompany each patient -if necessary- for the allotted appointment time.

At this time we are making efforts to launch telemedicine, and we will update with more information as soon as possible.

Dr. Schultz is a board certified and fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon. Specializing in joint replacement surgery, Dr. Schultz performs minimally invasive hip and knee replacements and revisions. He also treats patients with sports injuries, fractures, and general orthopedics. He has been in practice for 14 years. His main office is in Norman but he has also been coming to Purcell for over a decade. He recently left OSC to start the Oklahoma Center for Joint Replacement Surgery. Dr. Schultz is excited to return to Purcell and looks forward to helping with all of your orthopedic needs.

My patient Mr. Randy Opry the morning after his second anterior supine total hip replacement. He had his other hip replaced 5 months ago. Having no pain, walking independently with no restrictions. Going home today after less than 24 hours. He will be back to caring for his long time clients at Sculpter K*t soon!
