Renaissance Nutrition Center, Inc.

Renaissance Nutrition Center, Inc. Compassionate nutrition counseling for all issues with food, eating, body weight. Individual sessions and small groups.

Food and eating are the most intimate spiritual experiences of our lives. The food we eat actually becomes a physical part of our bodies and our brains. Obesity, anorexia, bulimia, food addiction, compulsive overeating, and the other eating difficulties are most often not the real problem. They are the symptom, the cause, or the result of some other physical, emotional, or spiritual issue. Nutrition counseling involves a careful examination of your past and present difficulties with food and your eating patterns – what, where, when, why, and how you eat; what makes you choose foods that are unhealthy for you; what makes you keep eating when you know you should stop; what makes you stop or avoid eating when you know you should eat. Together, we create a unique and individualized food plan, taking into account your body composition, structure, and metabolism; your lifestyle and food preferences; and your personal goals related to food. Then, we help you create a recovery program that will transform your relationship with food. In this process, you will learn to change your food choices and adopt new food-related values. You will learn to create nutrient-rich, satisfying meals and snacks. You will be able to follow your food plan easily and comfortably, on a regular basis, and fully develop your personal recovery program. You will
learn how to manage your life’s situations without the need for addictive or inappropriate food use. You will learn new decision-making skills to stop self-defeating behaviors, and instead create the needed support and life systems that will allow you to reach your goals. We offer workshops, support groups, and weekend retreats to help you meet your goals.
