One of the most common issues I see in M-shaped lips is a full upper center tubercle volume deficit — especially where the levator muscles attach and elevate the upper lip.
Here’s what’s happening anatomically:
The levator muscle activity creates upward pull at the central upper lip.
If this area lacks structural support:
• The center appears hollow or flat
• The Cupid’s bow overprojects first
• The lip exaggerates the “M” shape
• Injectors compensate by adding volume in the wrong places
This is where lips start to look unstable or overfilled — fast.
How my mapping + technique improves results
Instead of chasing borders or peaks, I assess:
• Central tubercle support
• Where muscle pull creates volume loss
• How projection should be distributed — not stacked
By mapping structure before volume, we:
✔ Restore balance to the upper lip
✔ Support the center without collapsing shape
✔ Reduce overfilling of the peaks
✔ Create smoother, longer-lasting results
This planning process is the foundation of every lip set I create.
