We had a wonderful time at the Christmas parade today! Thank you to all our staff who came out to help! We wanted to give a special shoutout to Dr. Newsome. (If you were at the parade, she was the one dressed as Rex the dinosaur!) She has done some amazing work with both the parade and the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee! She gave up so much of her time and energy to create everything you saw at both events from our office! Her creativity, drive, and vision for these events and for the community of North Augusta and all who live here is just incredible to see! We thank her for making this town an even better place to live and for being an amazing friend to everyone she meets!❤️❤️

Our team had a blast yesterday helping with Santa! We had 127 families come through which was quite the record for our office! (That was 50 more families that came through compared to last year.) Thank you all for your patience as we had the majority of families show up in the first hour, and a big thank you to our amazing staff and these two ladies pictured here, Beth and Monica (our front desk manager and billing managers). They coordinated this day for us, and made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible! Come out and see our team in the Christmas parade in North Augusta today at 3 pm! We hope everyone has a beautiful Christmas season! ❤️❤️

Santa and his favorite pediatric crew are ready and waiting to see you all from 1:30-4:30 today! We have ornaments for the kiddos to make while waiting to see Santa and a treat to pick out on the way out the door! We will have everyone enter through our left side door and work their way up to the waiting room where all of the festivities are!

Our Staff

John David Allen, M.D

Dr. Allen attended Georgia Tech to receive his undergraduate degree and then went on to attend the Medical College of Georgia to receive his medical degree and complete his residency in Pediatrics. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Allen has been in practice for over 30 years! He opened North Augusta Pediatrics in 2006. Dr. Allen and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 40 wonderful years and have 3 children (Michael, Katherine and Amanda). They also have 3 grandchildren (Abigail, Emily, and Jonathan). Dr. Allen enjoys hunting, tennis, golf and, of course, Georgia Tech football!

Mindy Stansfield, M.D.

Dr. Stansfield graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology. She then attended Medical College of Georgia where she completed medical school and an internship/residency in Pediatrics. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Following residency, she was a pediatrician at St. Vincent’s Joshua Simon Max Primary Care Center in Indianapolis, IN and also trained residents in the pediatric and family medicine residency programs there for 3 ½ years. She married her husband, Brian, in 2003 and they have 4 children: daughter Charlotte (born in 2009), twins daughter Reese and son Philip (born in 2011), and son Jack (born in 2016). She attends First Presbyterian Church in Augusta. Her family keeps her busy and helps her understand the needs and challenges that her patients (and their parents) face. She enjoys singing and exercising. She enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, but she especially enjoys twins/multiples and helping moms with breastfeeding issues.
