Maybe you witnessed the solar eclipse that occurred at sunrise this morning. It is an annual event, but this one was different.
There was a new moon attached with the timing of this eclipse, as well as a meeting of the Sun, Moon, and Mercury in the sign of Gemini. That’s a lot of energy, to say the least.
What I noticed was just how in sync nature is with these kinds of events. For the past couple of weeks, the birds have been my alarm clock. The harmony of soprano, alto, and an occasional squawk in the early summer months gives new meaning to getting up with the chickens.
But this morning, they were quiet. It was as if they too knew it was a moment of silence needed by the earth when the new moon delayed the fullness of the sunrise.
If you are not familiar with new moons, let me provide a little assistance. New moons are like your monthly New Year’s Eve. They are a time to sit quietly, reflect and see the light you wish to shine within your soul over the next 28.5 days.
Combined with this solar eclipse and Mercury in Gemini, nature itself reminds us to pause and reflect as we look at life in new ways, with fresh ideas, as well as dreams.
Sometimes it is the smallest of events, the ones we might not pay much attention to from nature or the birds, sun, or moon that bring realization to life. If we do not pay attention to the song sung from our inner voice, we might miss the opportunity to step out of our comfort zone and move forward with what we desire.
Because it was a new moon and not a full moon, the totality of the sun was not blocked. This is a message that even when life seems dark on the outside, the halo of light still shines around you to help you feel or sense a new direction. Now is the time to listen to that intuition that wants you to grow.
Taking notes from the birds you are invited to sit in the silence and put together a list of all you wish to attract or let go of this next month. Letting go of what no longer serves your highest good is a great step towards getting out of the comfort zone you have created and see the many possibilities available.
Rare events like what we experienced this morning are where the Divine meets the physical. Listening to that inner voice that may be speaking a little louder today holds the belief that you are worthy, acknowledged, and necessary to life.
Yes, the birds stepped out of their normal routine this morning to witness the new moon solar eclipse – and somehow the day for them was just as nature had planned. On cue, on time, and anything but shy.
So dream a little dream as you seek your passion. Allow the harmony of soprano, alto, bass, or even squawk to reveal to you any message from below the surface. Then move forward with nature’s cycles as you decide what to let go of, what to hold onto, and ways to move forward past the mundane. It’s time to adjust your wings, harmonize with your soul as you prepare to reach new heights.
Wishing you the best in your journey,
Susan
