We believe in providing an evidence-based, integrated treatment program for adolescents and young adults that is customized for the needs of each individual client. We apply today’s most effective treatment methods that not only address any teenage substance abuse issues but also treat any underlying mental health conditions. We’ve found that with a younger population, it is critical to focus on the client’s entire ecosystem, so we require the involvement of the full community, including interactive sessions with family members, peers, mentors, teachers, and coaches.

A couple weeks ago, our Senior Director of Research & Outcomes, Dr. Antoinette Giedzinska, hit the road to share her expertise on Measurement-Based Care (MBC) with local mental health providers across Maryland and Virginia. 🚗 🗺️

Over the course of two days, Dr. Giedzinska connected with:

📍 Staff at Shady Grove Hospital in Maryland
📍 Attendees at a dinner with Maryland therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists
📍 Staff at Sandstone Care Rockville
📍 Providers at a lunch in Loudoun County, VA and dinner in Tyson’s Corner, VA

In her presentations, Dr. Giedzinska highlighted Sandstone’s outcomes and the power of MBC, explaining why it matters, how data is captured, and what that data means for improving client care. She also discussed how to deliver MBC ethically and with integrity, and shared insights on the critical role of the Therapeutic Alliance in achieving meaningful outcomes. 🤝

We’re proud to see our research and outcomes team leading these conversations and helping to raise the standard of care in our communities. 💙
