As we welcome a new year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on all that made this past year so meaningful. This year has been full of milestones, from achieving CARF accreditation and building new partnerships, to celebrating staff who obtained independent licensure, and growing the HWS family.

We’re thankful for our incredible team, clients, and community who make this work possible. Here’s to a bright and meaningful 2026 as we continue serving with compassion, purpose, and care. ❤

The HWS Best Health Counseling team got into the holiday spirit with a festive tree decorating contest! Individuals and teams submitted photos of their creative trees, and our executive leadership team held a vote for the winner. 🎄🌟

Congratulations to Nurse Practitioner, Ashley Brugmann, who earned first place with more than eight stunning trees, each with its own theme (first two slides). The prize is a $100 gift card to a restaurant of her choice.

We are thrilled to announce Carey Anderson as the recipient of the 2026 Lillie’s Gift Scholarship Award! This scholarship provides $10,000 in support of an HWS Counselor or Case Manager advancing their education in the counseling or social services field.

Carey serves as a Counselor and BRYT Program Coordinator at HWS Best Health, where she brings genuine care, and a deep commitment to student well-being. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Youngstown State University and hopes to continue on to earn her doctorate in social work.

Carey reflects the spirit of Lillie’s Gift through her resilience, perseverance, and heart for service. We are honored to support her next steps as she continues Lillie’s legacy. Congratulations, Carey! ❤
