Part of the process of BUILDING is strength training.

Women are often miseducated or they misunderstand what lifting weights will do to their physique.

Pick up the dumbbells.

Strength training, particularly after the age of 40, is ESSENTIAL to:

preserving muscle tone
building lean muscle mass
preserving/increasing resting metabolic rate
preserving/increasing bone density
mental health
functional, safe, independent living
general STRENGTH

As women, we need to emphasize the idea of being STRONGER not SMALLER.

Build. Build. Build.

Simply weighing a lower number doesn't increase your value, your worth, your mobility, your strength, your metabolism, your mental health, your bone density, your immunity, your COMMUNITY.

Challenge yourself. That's where the change lives.
