On April 10th 2026 St. Luke Lutheran Community, and Canton Regency, Laurels of Massillon, and Cornerstone Caregiving held their annual Designer Purse Bingo, La Pizzaria Restaurant in Canton. . Other major donors were Sarchione Chevrolet and Susan and David Yeager. Stark County Meals on Wheels was this years recipient of all proceeds which totaled $11,684.00.
Stark County Meals on Wheels gave the following info to help the community understand how the proceeds are being used.
1. How do you see this money being used?
With rising costs for food and packagingāand many funding sources not fully covering program expensesāthis donation will help fill critical gaps so we can continue serving as many seniors as possible in Stark County.

3. How can others help?
Weāre fortunate to have a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, but there is always a need for more volunteers to help deliver meals. Community members can also support our Plates with Purpose fundraiser, running from Motherās Day through Fatherās Day, by purchasing a plate in honor of a loved one or as a donation. Meals on Wheels has been serving seniors in Stark County since 1973, ensuring older adults have access to nutritious meals and regular wellness checks that help them remain independent in their homes.
