The Patriot Project

The Patriot Project The Patriot Project is a grass roots movement to provide chiropractic care to all active military, wounded warriors, and their families.

Chiropractic care is included in veteran's health benefits but has not been made readily available for all veterans. Many of the ailments currently being treated largely with pain medication can be relieved more conservatively with chiropractic care. It is important to offer our active duty non-drug, non-surgical options for their painful conditions and Doctors of Chiropractic offer such care with attention to the optimum function and health of the whole person. The Patriot Project aims to make chiropractic care readily available for ALL active duty personnel.

An Admiral at the Pentagon did not like the relaxed grooming standards enjoyed by SEALs. He told Marcinko he was coming down for a personal inspection.

Marcinko directed his men to wear their dress uniforms with medals.

Mike Thornton was the first man in line. He was wearing the Medal of Honor.

At that time, Thornton was a Petty Officer. Years later, he retired as a Lieutenant.

As soon as he entered, the O-8 saw Thornton. The Admiral saluted the Petty Officer.

Flag Officers are smart. He knew immediately he had been set up. He called Marcinko aside and said: You are one clever SOB!

The Admiral returned to the Pentagon. Grooming standards at SEAL Team 6 remained unchanged.

🇺🇸 Honoring Vietnam Medal Of Honor veterans — Supporting The Patriot Project 🇺🇸

I’m incredibly proud of the special auction item my wife, Suzanne, put together for The Patriot Project, a remarkable nonprofit based in North Canton, Ohio, founded by Dr. Tim Novelli. The Patriot Project’s mission is to provide free chiropractic care to our nation’s heroes — including active-duty service members, veterans, their families, and Gold Star dependents — helping them heal, manage pain, and rebuild their lives. Over the years, the organization has grown from one small clinic to a nationwide network of more than 9,000 chiropractors, all committed to serving those who have served us. 🇺🇸❤️

To support this life-changing mission, we’re donating a truly one-of-a-kind auction package that celebrates the courage and sacrifice of America’s Medal of Honor Recipients.

📬 Medal of Honor: Vietnam War Stamp Folio – This rare and now discontinued U.S. Postal Service commemorative collection, first issued on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015, honors the recipients of the Medal of Honor from the Vietnam War. The set features three Forever® stamps — representing the Army, Navy/Marine Corps, and Air Force Medals of Honor — along with the names and portraits of Vietnam-era recipients.

✍️ Historic Signatures – The folio is made even more special with ten authentic signatures from Medal of Honor recipients who served in Vietnam — a priceless tribute to courage, brotherhood, and sacrifice.

🪙 Personal Memorabilia – Included in the auction are my personal challenge coin, a rare photo taken at the 2024 Medal of Honor Ceremony at The Alamo, and another personal photo, making this collection a deeply meaningful piece of history.

This unique package isn’t just memorabilia — it’s a way to directly support the mission of The Patriot Project. My hope is that it raises significant funds to continue helping veterans and their families live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Jack Lucas, who at 14 lied his way into military service during World War II and became the youngest Marine to receive the Medal of Honor, died Thursday in a Hattiesburg, Miss., hospital. He was 80.

Jacklyn “Jack” Lucas was just six days past his 17th birthday in February 1945 when his heroism at Iwo Jima earned him the nation’s highest military honor. He used his body to shield three fellow squad members from two gr***des and was nearly killed when one exploded.

“A couple of gr***des rolled into the trench,” Lucas said in an interview shortly before he received the medal from President Truman in October 1945. “I hollered to my pals to get out and did a Superman dive at the gr***des. I wasn’t a Superman after I got hit. I let out one helluva scream when that thing went off.”

Lucas was left with more than 250 pieces of shrapnel in his body and every major organ, including six pieces in his brain and two in his heart, and endured 26 surgeries in the following months. He often showed the curious his arms, which were speckled with gr***de fragments that could be seen just under the surface of his skin.

He was the youngest serviceman to receive the Medal of Honor in any conflict other than the Civil War.
