Many bras contain volatile organic compounds (VOC) such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, toluene, and benzene. Over 80% of bra padding is made from polyurethane foam, a petroleum product. Breast tissue is highly sensitive to these toxic chemicals, and breast tissue samples reveal high levels of them.
