Yesterday at Life Care Center of Charleston, we proudly recognized our residents and staff who have served our country.

A heartfelt thank you to Mikki (Clinical Liaison) and Mark (Volunteer) from Interim HealthCare of Charleston, SC for their meaningful tribute and continued dedication. Coastal Carolina Fair “Senior Day” in Ladson, SC was a success! 🎡💙

Campus marketing teams joined forces at the Coastal Carolina Fair in Ladson, SC, for their annual “Senior Day” on 11/5/25. Reid Hughes (The Bridge) and Blythe Bondoc (Life Care Center of Charleston) connected with the senior community to share information about the full continuum of care—from assisted living and short-term rehabilitation to skilled nursing, long-term care, and secured memory care. It was a joy to bring smiles (and goodies!) to the seniors of South Carolina. We even brought some of our amazing residents along—with the help of our activities team and staff—to share in the smiles and fun! 😀

Life Care Center of Charleston is proud to partner with the Exchange Club of Charleston and the Coastal Carolina Fair for Senior Day – tomorrow, Wednesday, November 5, 2025! 🎡

💙 Seniors (55+) and Special Needs Individuals & Caregivers — Admission is just $5 all day! Join us and more than 60 community organizations offering health screenings, senior services, veteran resources, caregiver support, and job opportunities for seniors. ✨

Enjoy music, performances, Bingo, and free Merry-Go-Round rides from 11 AM–1 PM! 🩺 MUSC Outreach is bringing multiple teams to our National Day of Service (Senior Day). They will have teams providing: Basic health screenings (blood pressure, A1C, blood sugar, BMI0, Flu shots 💉 , COVID shots, HIV testing, Injury prevention education, nutrition education, sickle cell education.

🎃 Halloween Fun at Life Care Center of Charleston! 👻

This year’s candy corn guessing game winner is Mr. Hank Sieling, with an impressive guess of 287 — just two pieces away from the actual count of 285! 🍬👏 Residents and staff enjoyed trick-or-treating throughout the building, bringing lots of smiles, costumes, and sweet treats. A big thank you to our families and to our generous candy sponsors: MSA Healthcare (Shawn), Bristol Hospice (Ashley), and Oasis Senior Advisors Charleston, SC (Scott) for helping make the day extra special. 🌟 Employee Spotlight: Staci Tillman Johnson, LPN 🎀

We are proud to recognize Staci, who has been a dedicated member of the Life Care Center of Charleston team since June 2022. Staci’s compassion, professionalism, and commitment to her patients make her an invaluable part of our nursing staff. Both her patients and their families consistently express their gratitude for the excellent care she provides. 👏

Staci moved to South Carolina from Texas in February 2019 and married her husband, Larry Johnson, later that same year. In October 2019, Staci was diagnosed with breast cancer. Through strength, determination, and optimism, she achieved remission in 2020 and has been a proud breast cancer survivor for 5 years. 🎀 Today, Staci is a strong advocate for individuals and patients who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is passionate about raising awareness and providing education within our community. Her journey has deepened her empathy and compassion for others, qualities that shine through in her care each day. 😊

We are honored to celebrate Staci Tillman Johnson during the month of October—Breast Cancer Awareness Month—and every day for the courage, care, and kindness she brings to Life Care Center of Charleston. 💗

Hi everyone! Meet Wendy Henzy, Registered Dietitian and the newest member of the Life Care Center of Charleston’s clinical team! 🌟

As part of our amazing interdisciplinary team, Wendy provides nutrition support and education to our residents and their families — helping them make healthy choices that promote recovery, wellness, and quality of life. 🍎 Whether it’s developing individualized meal plans, supporting dietary needs during rehab, or helping patients reach their health goals, we’re thrilled to welcome Wendy to our Life Care Center family and look forward to her support in helping our residents get better every day. 💛
